We made another trip to Edinburg this past weekend!
The Lone Star Girl had applied for a scholarship (by writing an essay on the constitutional validity of the Roe v. Wade decision in light of its medical and scientific arguments) through a Constitutional Scholars program at UTPA and had been called for an oral interview a few weeks ago and then informed that she was a finalist and would, with 14 others, get a scholarship at the end of the one-year program and that the awards banquet was Saturday night. We went and it turned out she was the big winner and is getting a very big scholarship after the program year. So exciting!
We are proud of our constitutional scholar girl!
