Feeling A Little Overwhelmed By School Christmases
The presents and field trips and parties and cards and practices and bake sales and ... just a few more days to fit everything in and then...rest and family time. It will come. Joy to the World.
I am looking forward to the Pause, too. Tomorrow is the Christmas Around the World celebration at school. I baked an Irish seed cake, plus a few gluten-free Irish seed cupcakes. And I will be at a station to disperse the goods. I never envisioned myself doing that sort of thing, but there I will be.

Yes - let's. Irish seed cake sounds wonderful. I know what you mean - parenting makes school volunteers out of us, and all sorts of activity volunteers out of us. My personal comfort zone is more among the violent and destitute than among well-to-do PTA moms, but we do what we need to do.
